YOUTH EXCHANGE „BEYOND TABOOS“: FEEDBACK
We have participated in Erasmus plus project youth exchange “Beyond Taboos“. We arrived at our lovely venue in Dreiskau-Muckern on 17th of November and stayed there creating precious memories till the 25th. We were 38 passionate young people from Germany, Italy, Spain, Ukraine, Greece and Estonia.
The aim of this project was to exchange our ideas and experiences, to learn from one another and talk about different taboos like sexuality, sexual violence and sex education.
We had very interesting debates every time and we wish we could have gotten more time to discuss many different topics regarding sex education.
We had breakfast, lunch and dinner together. Our rooms were a mix of countries. Day by day we got to know each other through workshops, and different non formal education methods. We created a safe and inclusive space during the project.
We had 6 cultural nights and we enjoyed the presentations and delicious food from the different European countries that were participating. We visited the lovely city of Leipzig. There we had a workshop in the queer sexshop Juicy Leipzig. The expert there shared with us a lot of stories and knowledge. This way now we have a better understanding of sexual health.
Thank you to everyone for creating a safe space to discuss taboos freely. This project gave us the opportunity to establish amazing connections. We had an amazing time together!
